Aslan Society sponsors this annual conference.Â

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

The Tempe Salvation Army (40 E. University Drive, one block east of Mill Ave.) is in need of food donations and also donations for their annual Thanksgiving dinner. Please see below or attached documents for more details of items needed. Los Niños Reading Enrichment Program
Volunteers are needed to help as van drivers, teachers, teacher’s aides, helpers, and readers.  This Preschool and Elementary School program offers reading assistance, tutoring, breakfast, juice, snacks, arts and crafts projects, and occasional field trips.
Location: Guadalupe
Time: Saturday mornings 9:30am-Noon
Minimum Age: 12 with an adult

Volunteers Needed for Pappas School in Tempe
Volunteers are needed for the after school programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays (3 – 5 p.m.) at Thomas J. Pappas Elementary  School in Tempe (1935 E. Apache Boulevard, east of McClintock).  They are in need of many volunteers, especially bilingual Spanish speaking volunteers to help with tutoring homework, cultural and creative arts, sports and games, field trips, etc. These homeless, impoverished children need trusted, caring, consistent adults to help them break the cycles of poverty, addiction and violence. With support, every child is capable of success, no exceptions. Flu Clinic, Community Health Screening, Health Fairs and Clinic Programs Community Health Services Clinic / CON / ASU
We are looking for volunteers for various programs.  We offer several Health screenings to the communities such as Cholesterol, diabetes, flu programs and are looking for volunteers to assist with clerical duties.  We also need volunteers for the clinic such as reading to children, and clerical duties.
